Irán anuncia la guerra con simbólica bandera
Por primera vez en la cúpula de la mezquita en Jamkaran, ciudad iraní sagrada chiíta de la provincia de Qom, se ondea una bandera roja que simboliza los próximos combates. La televisión estatal iraní transmitió las imágenes de la bandera ondeándose. Esta tiene un doble significado simbólico para el islam, por un lado indica la sangre derramada injustamente y por otro, son un llamado a vengar la muerte de una persona asesinada, informó el diario The Independent. Se transmitió horas después de que se anunciara la muerte del líder militar iraní, Qasem Soleimani, que de manera generalizada es considerado por los ciudadanos como un mártir tras ser asesinado por un ataque estadounidense. Hoy, la antropóloga iraní Tiziana Ciavardin, dijo en sus redes sociales que este gesto simbólico comunica que nos “enfrentaremos a una batalla inminente”. El símbolo tiene grabada la leyenda “los que quieran vengar la sangre de Hussein”, de acuerdo al Daily Monitor. El imán Hussein, el más venerado en el Islam chiíta, es el sobrino del profeta Mahoma. Según la tradición, fue asesinado y decapitado en el siglo VII, junto con decenas de sus seguidores en la batalla de Kerbala, ayudando a crear la separación de los sunitas.
